On the other hand, if the water is cool, it will not extract the full flavors from the leaves. Water between 160 to 180 degrees is best to make green tea. It is simple to guess the right temperature. This is when the water is hot & the bubbles are beginning to form on the bottom of the pot and not on the top.
- The Right Amount of Tea: Generally, a good ratio is 2gram of tea leaves to 6ounces (170-180ml) of water.
- Steep for the Right Amount of Time: Because of its delicacy, it’s important to steep green tea for 2-3 minutes. Any timeless will prevent the leaves from releasing its full flavor whereas any time more will result in the bitter taste of the tea. For the correct taste, brew it for 2 minutes & then taste every 30 seconds, until you get the taste you like.
